THE EVMAINE TRAILER PROJECT
I bought this flatbed trailer with a five foot by ten foot bed. I recently had to widen the bed
at the back by about seven inches on each side so the front wheels of my car would fit on
it. Then I mounted the taillights up on the ramp extensions for better visibility.
Here’s a closeup of the widened bed on one side.
I also had to lengthen the trailer bed by a foot at the tongue end of the trailer to
accomodate the single tire on the back end of the car, then I welded on my boat winch.
Why didn’t I just make the car smaller instead? That’s a very good question.
